This art + connection project in May 2019 asked artists to create a new work addressing - however broadly or specifically they wanted to - what it means to be - or feel like - a womxn today. The art show featured 18 self-identifying womxn artists. The reception featured variety of womxn talent from the South Sound including authors from Creative Colloquy. The workshop explored the challenges facing womxn at work and how connection can help us overcome them, featuring a diverse panel of womxn leadership from around Tacoma. This project was funded in part by the Tacoma Arts Commission and organized by Handmade PNW/Allison Bishins Consulting.
