The Handmade PNW Story

Allison of Handmade PNW has organized handmade markets and art shows in Tacoma since 2015. She saw an enormous wealth of art and local, handmade goods, and was surprised by how few handmade-focused markets there were in Tacoma! Tacoma markets have grown so much since then, though, which is fantastic - and allows her to curate just three special shows each year through 2021:

• Spring Self/Love Women’s Market

• Summer Kid Maker Market

• Winter Village 253 Handmade Market + Mingle

• Modern Margins: An Exploration, held in the Spring. (Previously, called Modern Womxn.)

Handmade PNW has raised over $13,000 for local organizations since 2015.

Allison is also a business consultant focused on teaching small businesses how to use social media marketing efficiently, as well as connect offline with a local support network. An offshoot of this work is the Sustainability Summit for South Sound Women in Business. You can also get free support via Nurture: Tacoma Women and Non-binary Support Group on Facebook.
